Joseph Trujillo
Biography
Joseph L. Trujillo, President and Co-Owner of Intermountain Technical Solutions, Inc. offers extremely strong credentials applicable to health and safety, environmental, and hazardous materials training. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from the University of Utah. He is a registered Environmental Health Scientist and has served as Adjunct Instructor for the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health \ University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, Utah Valley Community College, Hazardous Materials Association, National Fire Academy, Colorado State Fire Academy, and the Utah Police Officers Standards and Training. Joe is also the past President of the Utah Hazardous Materials Association.
Joe was the Commander of Tooele County Search and Rescue in 1994 and has been employed as an Emergency Response Coordinator for Tooele County Corporationand as an Environmental Scientist for the Salt Lake City-County Health Department. Joe holds memberships with the National Environmental Health Association and the Utah Hazardous Materials Association. Additionally, Joe has been certified for Underground Storage Tank Inspection, Soil and Groundwater Sampling, and EPA Method 9 Air Quality Inspection.
Joe’s employment in public-sector HAZMAT has given him a firsthand perspective on emergency response situations and team development. Joe has trained over 1500 public and industry HAZMAT teams and over 500 rope rescue, confined space, and high-angle rescue teams. Joe, along with the rest of the Intermountain Technical Solutions, Inc. team, has certified over 200,000 students from every state in the United States as well as Canada and Mexico in numerous safety and environmental topics. Joe has taught thousands of individuals from organizations such as: The US Fish and Wildlife Service, The Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, EnCana Corporation, Burlington Resources, Michaels Foods, Fairchild Semiconductor, CAMDS, US Army Corps of Engineers, MOTCO, Kinder Morgan, Nestle, Chevron, Rio Tinto, US Army Reserves, and many others, all with excellent reviews.
