Biography

Cory has 36 years of experience in Fire and EMS in the state and around the world. He has served in all aspects, from wildland firefighter to volunteer firefighter/EMT to career Captain/paramedic, flight paramedic, educator, and administrator. He served with Provo City Fire and Rescue for twenty years, where he retired as a Captain in 2017. During his time there, he was the training officer for the mountain rescue team and later as one of the Administrative Captains overseeing the Utah Valley Metro Special Response Team.

He began flying in 2004 with Intermountain Life Flight as a Flight Paramedic. In 2016, he moved to Classic Air Medical as the simulations and outreach coordinator, and in 2020, he became the Program Director of Haiti Air Ambulance, the only air medical program serving the citizens of Haiti. He is also the EMS Coordinator for the Box Elder County Fire Department. He has presented at conferences nationwide, served and chaired many local, state, and national committees, and is president of the International College of Advanced Practice Paramedics.
