Biography
Ruth Braga MSN, RN fell in love with the world of trauma working at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital operating room, fresh out of nursing school in 2006. After moving back to Utah, she was privileged to work at the University of Utah School of Medicine as a nurse educator for 10 years, teaching med students and surgical residents, designing skills labs, assisting in research, writing, and growing passionate about the mental health of providers and first responders.
In 2022 she joined the University of Utah hospital Trauma program as a Trauma & Injury Prevention Outreach Coordinator, relentlessly hoping to keep the public safe and surgeons bored! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 kids and 4 dogs (2 Rottweilers, Great Dane/Mastiff, and a Bullmastiff), advocating for people with multiple disabilities and helping at her sons’ group home where he resides.
