Kris Shields

Kris started her career in emergency medicine in 1989. She worked for Millard County EMS for 20 years and during that time, she was an avid educator and leader. She advanced her career by becoming a nurse and working in the ER. She continued educating others and furthering her career by working at St. Marks Hospital (SMH) in the Trauma Department. There she was directly involved in the process of SMH becoming a Level II Trauma Center. She then was drawn to the ED at SMH and became their ED Nurse Educator (she would call this her dream job). Kris has been a nurse now for over 17 years working for HCA and has been involved in EMS in one way or another. She is now, and has been for four years, the Director of EMS Relations for Utah County and loves her interactions with EMS Partners.
