NALOXONE Training
In this breakout session, the Utah County Health Department will teach participants how to prevent and respond to an opiod overdose using naloxone. At the end of the training, all participants will receive one FREE Narcan Nasal Spray Kit.
Attendees will learn:
- What is an opioid, and how does an overdose occur
- How to identify risk factors of an opioid overdose
- Tips for preventing an overdose
- Locating medication disposal services
- How to respond to an overdose
- Accessing naloxone resources
- Finding substance use and mental health treatments
