Industrial Strength EMS & First Responders
This session is designed for First Responders, EMR’s, EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses & Physicians who work in an industrial facility. At the completion of this session, they will have a better understanding of the five (5) most common calls for EMS at industrial facilities after attending this session.
Inside the fence line of industrial facilities there are five (5) common calls for Emergency Medical Service include hand injuries, eye injuries, burns, falls and chest pain.
Most industrial facilities are staffed with first responders and Basic EMT’s. In some rare situations industrial facilities are staffed with paramedics and a nurse.
In order to protect their freedom to operate most mills, plants and facilities are located out of town and a good distance from a hospital. It is important to establish a good relationship with rural hospitals and air medical transport services.
