BSN, RN, CEM, TCRN, Trauma Outreach & Injury Prevention Coordinator

Biography

Jamie Troyer has been working in the medical field for 25 years. Her career started as a first responder working on an ambulance and at the prison. She decided to move on to nursing, graduating in 2007 and moving directly into the Emergency Room. She has spent the last 15 years at University of Utah Health. 11 of those years were spent in the Emergency Department as a bedside nurse, charge nurse, and clinical nurse coordinator.

Currently, she is the Trauma Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator and Trauma Survivor’s Network Coordinator focusing more now on education for colleagues and the community, as well as collaborating with many partners to bring awareness on how to prevent injury during any activity. A perk of the job is being able to connect with trauma patients during their recovery as part of the Trauma Survivor’s Network. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and 3 dogs, either chilling at home, or enjoying the outdoors.
