Kevin McCarthy, UVU EMS Instructor, NAEMT State Education Coordinator, Fire Captain/Paramedic (retired)

Kevin McCarthy is a tenure track professor of Emergency Services at Utah Valley University where he has been teaching EMS classes since 1995.  Currently, he coordinates paramedic courses as well as teaches in EMS Management and Advance EMS Research Topics.  Kevin is also the NAEMT State Education Coordinator for training programs. 

Kevin comes from a 25-year public safety career (police, fire, and EMS) and is a retired Fire Captain/Paramedic with much of his career spent as a Training Officer and EMS Coordinator.  He feels blessed to be married to a loving and patient wife of 28 years and they have 4 beautiful daughters.
