Taylor Poyner

I grew up in Salem Utah with five siblings. Raised by a strong woman who took care of all six of us on her own. I married my husband John last year on 2/21/21. I have one daughter named Hannah. My husband is currently going through the process of adopting her.

In May of 2018 my brother-in-law and his wife were killed in a car accident due to a drunk driver. They left behind two children, a boy and girl who are now 6 and 4. They were placed with us last July and we have every intention of adopting them in the future. So now I consider myself a mother of three children. I stay at home and take care of these kids.

I love to help women who are addicted to drugs and alcohol get sober. I speak to recovery groups all the time about my history and how I became free from my addiction and to be happy. I enjoy Zumba and I’m a certified instructor. I enjoy co-ed softball when time allows me to play, music and guitar. I have played since I was young, and it has always been one of the ways I feel comfort and peace. I recently began to garden and find that it brings me peace. I will celebrate 10 years of sobriety on September 18 of this year and I couldn’t be more happy and proud!
