Biography
A former teacher and interpreter for the hearing impaired at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, Steve has published 11 EMS related cartoon books since his escapades as a paramedic and EMS instructor began 42 years. Steve has written over 150 monthly humor columns along with cartoon illustrations for both JEMS and EMS World magazine. Steve has a long history of cycling with the National EMS Memorial Bike ride and continues to be a strong advocate of honoring our fallen First responders.
Having recently retired from EMS, Steve now works for the Colorado Parks and Wildlife for which his ambulance has now been replaced by an ATV. Steve continues to seek world peace along with frequent Flyer milage.
