Master of EKG

The myocardium is fascinating, complicated and amazing! This course lays the groundwork of cardiology theory and provides the skills of applying and interpreting 12-lead electrocardiograph. We will dive into the anatomy & physiology of the heart. We’llreference the “Heart in your Hands” program, then analyze variations in the electrical conduction of the heart as evidenced bychanges on the 12 lead EKG.

The course will encompass the recognition and treatment modalities of sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular rhythms as well as heart blocks. We’ll break it all down – in simple mnemonics that your “2am Brain” can remember. Finally, this course puts it alltogether in a simple 6-step process Chris teaches at Medic school – to help you identify any rhythm easily.

This class is perfect for students new to EKGs, through the experienced critical care provider looking for some job aids. Come geek out at this interactive day of lecture, hands on (and maybe even some heart dissection) and learn about all things Cardiology. NOTE: Special thanks to ZOLL for the use of X-series monitors during this class.
